Evanston Township High School Athletic Training
Proudly Serving the Wildkit Community
Evanston Township's Athletic Training team is dedicated to providing effective, high-quality healthcare to our student-athletes & coaching staff. We strive to be the first points of contact for any athletic injury or medical need. Through this mission, we keep student-athletes safe & healthy as they participate in the sports they love.

Who are Athletic Trainers?
Certified athletic trainers (ATCs) are recognized as allied healthcare professionals that are highly proficient in the following facets of medical care:
Examination & diagnosis of acute/chronic medical & musculoskeletal conditions.
Injury prevention & wellness education/promotion.
Emergency care & first-aid.
Treatment & rehabilitation of musculoskeletal/medical conditions.
Athletic trainers work in collaboration with a physician to administer care to patients in a number of unique settings, including secondary schools. In Illinois, ATs are required to uphold a current state license & certification in addition to completing continuing education (CE) requirements to maintain their practice.
Our Partnerships
The City of Evanston provides us with plentiful resources to serve every student with the best medical care possible. We carry tremendous pride in the ability to adapt to every individual's personal needs, and as such we are partnered with groups & organizations that are aligned with our mission.
Athletico Physical Therapy
Evanston Township High School Athletics is partnered with Athletico Physical Therapy to provide athletic training services to our athletic programs. This partnership includes access to a multitude of resources for our student-athletes such as: quick & easy access to physical therapy at Evanston's two locations, injury prevention screenings, tailored rehabilitation programs, and parent/student injury education.

During this time, Athletico also provides telehealth services through our area clinics to ensure everyone continues to receive care in a safe, remote environment.
Endeavor Health
Evanston Township High School not only partners with Endeavor Health to provide a community health clinic within our building, but ETHS Athletic Training partners with Endeavor's physicians to ensure that every athlete has access to physicians we trust & work closely with.

Our team physicians are Dr. Stefany Malanka & Dr. Bradley Dunlap. More information on them can be found in the 'About Us' section.
"Athletic trainers are part of the team. When we get injured, we trust them because they have built those relationships with us. They put the time in working through our injuries alongside us. They believe in our ability to overcome our injuries and get back on the field, and it's our job to trust their expertise and make sure we are working hard and handling our recovery the right way."
